Delays
I’m sitting here listening to my heart to guide me through these words, so bare with me. And what comes to me is the word delay. Much like at an airport or a detour going home, we get impatient in the hold up of time and quickly think of how it’s an inconvenience to us getting to our next destination. We feel anxious, rushed, antsy, and sometimes angry. It’s about how it affects us and how it forces us to pause. Being forced to slow down and face the things that are out of our control.
I’ve noticed not everyone is okay sitting in their own thoughts and/or reflecting on the time given to take a look around to regroup. While I crave the quiet to reset and refocus, I sometimes miss the signs that it wants to show me. It’s a conscious decision to shut the negative voices up and to sink down into your intuition and listen to your heart. To be grateful for that pause that potentially made you avoid an accident or given you an opportunity to meet someone that’s sitting standby to join your flight that you eventually become lifelong friends with. I truly believe there is a reason for everything.
No one wants to regret not giving that last hug or saying those words they needed to share. At least I know that much is true despite the fact some sit and reflect while others are relieved that they can continue on their way.
2020 has been a year for delays for many of us, and that includes us here at The dKol la femme Project. And although 2021 may have some more delays ahead, we’re here to sit out the wait with you.

We are looking for an array of artisans to join our cause.
We are looking for unique talent. Artists with a drive to create with an intent. We need artists with the capability to create unique art after having heard a personal story. The vision is to create a representation of a story that will be shared and then in turn the participant will receive your one of a kind artwork.
