A note of gratitude: Dear Kristin

I was talking to my friend Kristin, and while I’ve only known her for a short time, we have connected in a beautifully unique way. After talking to her and sharing with one another how grateful we are of one another, it got me thinking that this very thing NEEDS to be shared. This very idea NEEDS to be done more often.

So here I am, starting my first note of gratitude that I’m sharing publicly. I plan on writing more of these, along with Kay, but we both want to invite you to write in to us and share with us a note of gratitude that you would like to post to the la femme community. Let me tell you a little bit about Kristin:

Have you ever just met someone and instantly knew they were meant to connect in your life? Serendipity at it’s finest. And what’s a step better than that, is knowing that your kids are experiencing a younger version of that very thing. For barely knowing someone, somehow you know them like a book. She just gets you, wants to desperately find the bigger meaning in life, just like you. She has the same passion that I do, deep knowing of all things. She had a b.s. meter and won’t stand for any of it.

She greets you with warm, tight hugs that engulf you and instantly is telling that she’s got your back. Through laughter, sarcasm, through bold, deep and sometimes dark questions, she wants to know you, like really know you. She is fiercely loud and joyful. Her laugh is constantly present. Supportive and thought provoking, mastering the ability to share with compassion and empathy…these are the types of words I describe her soul with.

All of this…she instills in her daughter. From day one, she has been raising a fiercely bold, compassionate soul. One that instinctively mirrors all those traits that her mom has. As Kasey has grown, you can tell she recognizes the fruits of her labor and stands proud in watching her execute her way through life.  Most importantly, that she has a voice to use boldly, compassionately, confidently, and is filled with the sweetest, most dynamic & exuberant personality.

Two undeniably amazing women you want to KEEP in your life.
